MunEDA Announces Latest Integration of its WiCkeD™ Tool Suite with Synopsys Environments; First Showing at 2011 SNUG San Jose Designer Community Expo

Sunnyvale, California - Friday, March 25th, 2011

MunEDA, developer of a comprehensive range of advanced circuit analysis solutions, today announced the latest integration of its WiCkeD tool suite with Synopsys´ industry-leading design and simulation solutions – Synopsys´ HSPICE, CustomSim and Galaxy Custom Designer. The company will showcase the new integration at the 2011 Synopsys Users Group (SNUG®) San Jose Designer Community Expo (DCE) for Synopsys customers on Monday, March 28, 2011, from 4:30 -7:30 p.m. at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, Calif.

Michael Pronath, MunEDA vice president of Products & Solutions, said, "As a member of the Synopsys in-SyncTM Program, HSPICE Integrator Program, and Synopsys Custom Design Ecosystem, we are pleased to contribute to SNUG San Jose. We will show designers of advanced chips and silicon IP how our WiCkeD tool suite is seamlessly integrated into – and ideally complements – the Synopsys Custom Designer SE schematic editor. This tight interface enables circuit designers to access and utilize all WiCkeD tools intuitively from within the familiar, industry-leading Synopsys design and simulation environment."

WiCkeD fully supports Synopsys HSPICE and CustomSim circuit simulators integrated within the Synopsys Custom Designer environment and also supports them within stand-alone netlist and third-party design environments. In addition, Synopsys Custom WaveView can be launched from within WiCkeD during circuit sizing. WiCkeD is fully compatible with the HSPICE and CustomSim for Design-for-Yield process and Interconnect Variation Analysis.

About SNUG and DCE
The Synopsys Users Group (SNUG) was established in 1990 to provide users of Synopsys design tools and technology with an open forum in which they could exchange ideas, discuss problems and explore solutions. SNUG has emerged as the largest community of design engineers in the world, with 14 SNUG conferences worldwide drawing more than 8,000 tool and IP users each year. Attendees represent the world’s largest semiconductor design and manufacturing companies as well as many innovative start-ups. At the heart of each SNUG event is a technical conference focusing on real-world design challenges and featuring peer-reviewed user papers, along with presentations from top Synopsys technologists and industry experts.

The SNUG Designer Community Expo (DCE) is a unique networking event featuring Synopsys and its ecosystem partners from across the electronics industry. At SNUG DCE, Synopsys users can interact with exhibitors and see the latest design enablement solutions spanning seven designer communities: Compute and Design Infrastructure, Custom Design and AMS Verification, FPGA, IC Design, IC Verification, IP, and System-Level Design.

SNUG and the Designer Community Expo at SNUG are by-invitation events only for Synopsys customers. For more information, visit the SNUG DCE web page at:
